The Motor Growth Measures

CanChild researchers have developed a number of measures and tools related to gross motor function and performance for children with cerebral palsy.  These include the Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS and GMFCS E&R), the Gross Motor Function Measure (GMFM) (of which there are 2 versions, namely the GMFM-88 and the GMFM-66), the Motor Growth Curves (MGCs), and the Gross Motor Performance Measure (GMPM), also known as the Quality FM. For an overview of how these measures may be useful to parents, clinicians, and administrators working with children with cerebral palsy, see Motor Measures Scenario

To find out the answers to frequently asked questions about the motor growth measures and/or the differences or links between the measures, see FAQs.
